Frequently asked questions

The questions families ask us first: about our three services, getting started and how Harbor works.

What ages do you work with?
Children from birth to age 3.
How do we get started?
Call us at (816) 343-8169 or request a call back on our Get Started page.
Is there a cost?
Call us and we’ll explain any cost for your family before services begin.
Can my child see more than one provider here?
Yes, and that is much of the reason all three services are on one team. Your child can see a speech-language pathologist, an occupational therapist and a developmental specialist from Harbor, all working from the same plan and talking to each other about your child.
Where do sessions happen?
In your home. Harbor is an in-home practice: your child’s speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist or developmental specialist comes to you, anywhere in the St. Louis metro, and works inside the routines the skills belong to.
How often are visits?
Visit frequency is set as part of your child’s plan. Many children have one visit a week per service.
How long does it take to be seen?
Tell us what you need and we will give you a real date rather than a range. Wait times depend on the service and on clinician availability in your area.
Will I be involved?
Yes. Every visit is built around coaching, so a parent or caregiver takes part in every visit.
